From a focused improvement to a larger build

Every scope deserves
a complete approach.

A single tenant improvement and a larger construction project both depend on good planning. We review the project requirements, resources, and schedule before committing to the work.

Commercial construction

Electrical scope for new business spaces, coordinated with the project drawings, specifications, construction sequence, and the team responsible for delivery.

Tenant improvements

Build-outs, renovations, and reconfigured spaces planned around the intended use, existing conditions, and requirements of the owner and general contractor.

Lighting & power

Lighting layouts, power distribution, circuits, and equipment connections reviewed against the approved scope and the needs of the space.

Existing property improvements

Electrical improvements coordinated around access, existing systems, occupied spaces, and any shutdowns that need to be planned with the project team.

Coordination that reaches beyond the jobsite

The drawing set.
The submittal.
The detail in the field.

01

Engineer drawings & specifications

Review the electrical engineer’s drawings and project specifications, identify questions and site conditions, and coordinate clarifications through the project’s established RFI process.

02

Submittals & approvals

Prepare and submit required electrical product data and equipment submittals for review. Track approval status, specified requirements, and lead times before procurement and installation.

03

Architect & GC coordination

Work with architects, general contractors, owners, and trade partners on locations, clearances, finishes, sequencing, and changes that affect the electrical work.

Quality through completion

A strong start.
A disciplined finish.

Quality means following the details through the entire contracted scope—not stopping at installation.

01

Plan & coordinate

Confirm scope boundaries, drawing revisions, milestones, access, long-lead items, and the communication process with the team.

02

Install & review

Work to the approved project requirements, coordinate inspections and testing within the electrical scope, and track issues that need resolution.

03

Punch list & closeout

Address the agreed punch list, coordinate final review, and provide required closeout information such as equipment documentation, warranties, and record updates within the contract.

Documentation, testing, engineering responsibilities, and closeout deliverables are defined by the project contract and approved scope.

A little clarity

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Can you work from an engineer’s drawings?

Yes. Share the available electrical drawings, specifications, and current revision information. We review them for the electrical construction scope and coordinate questions with the design and construction team. Engineering design responsibilities remain with the designated design professionals.

Do you handle electrical submittals?

Required electrical product and equipment submittals can be included in the agreed project scope. We coordinate the review process with the general contractor and design team before the relevant purchasing and installation steps.

Who can contact North Current about a project?

Owners, business operators, architects, engineers, general contractors, construction managers, and property teams are welcome to start a conversation.

Do you consider small and large projects?

Yes. Send the project location, scope, available plans, and target schedule. We assess each project’s requirements, fit, resources, and availability before confirming a commitment.
